Banna Beach, Co. Kerry, Ireland
Banna Beach is a 7 mile long sandy Blue flag beach, lifeguarded during the summer months. Medium waves with lots of space on the water. This is an unsheltered beach that works in winds ranging from S-SW-W-NW-N and even NE. Banna beach has dunes running its length, with some reaching up to 40ft high. As the Atlantic Ocean swells hit this sand bar break, waves of up to 9ft are created, making this mainly an intermediate to expert location. Surfers have historically experienced localism here.
